April 8 readers, we tease cuz we're fly

SPENCER DEW

Spencer Dew is in the midst of a reading-out-loud frenzy. Quickies! caught him and boy are we happy about it. Maybe we did a spin in our office chair when he said he'd read with us on April 8th. Spencer's first book, "Songs of Insurgency" is now out from Vagabond press. You should buy it here or here. After Spencer reads on April 8, you should approach him, congratulate him, and shake his hand.

April 8 readers, tease, please

MARY HAMILTON

Mary Hamilton, along with Lindsay Hunter, co-hosts Quickies!. She is currently writing this bio about herself. She thinks this is probably the first time she has written about Mary Hamilton in the third person. She thinks she may have to do this more often. Mary Hamilton thinks writing about Mary Hamilton in the third person is lovely and strange. Kind of like a weekend visit to Lisbon, Maine.

We want you to be part of our super-awesome plan to take over Chicago

If you were at our first reading, you know how awesome and good-timey Quickies! was/is/shall always be.

If you weren't there, don't think we didn't notice.

We are building our schedule for the next few months, but we're still looking for some lovely and friendly faces to join the reading frenzy that is Quickies!

If you would like to join us on the big stage at Innertown, send an email to quickieschicago(at)gmail(dot)com

Apologies for my crappy punctuation, I'm working on it, I swear.
