MEG BARBOZA AND DAVE SNYDER

Meg Barboza lives and works in Chicago. Her poems have appeared in P-Queue, Court Green, and Parcel. All of the other poems she's written are just not good enough. She wears both glasses and contacts though not at the same time.


Dave Snyder holds degrees in geology and English and currently works as a timekeeping clerk and a gardener in Chicago. Dave's poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Quarterly West, the Iowa Review, Sentence and other journals. In 2006 he was awarded the Writers @ Work fellowship in poetry and in 2008, the Iowa Review Award. Dave's poem Hexagon: On Truth will appear in Best American Poetry 2008.

A shark surfaced 3 feet from Jac Jemc’s kayak on May 6th. She has lived to tell that tale and others, which you can find in Sleepingfish, 5_trope, elimae, the Denver Quarterly, Zoland, No Posit, Circumference and Tarpaulin Sky. She received a sunburn along with her MFA on May 17th from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Ben Tanzer lives in Chicago where he shoots pool, dabbles in social work, compulsively watches High School Musical, and spends all sorts of quality time with his lovely wife and young sons. He has had work published in a variety of magazines and journals including Rated Rookie, Clamor, Punk Planet, Abroad View, Opium, THE2NDHAND, Thieves Jargon, The Truth Magazine, Chicago Parent, Third Coast Press, 20dissidents, and Caketrain. His debut novel, Lucky Man, is available from Manx Media.

Nick Ostdick is a fiction writer from Chicago. He is the editor of RAGAD, a broadzine of sorts and online magazine. His work has appeared widely in such places as Slow Trains, Pindeldyboz, THE2NDHAND, and elsewhere, and he was nominated for a 2007 StorySouth Million Writers Award. Former Quickies! reader, Lex Sonne (April) will be reading at the Printer's Row Book Fair. He'll be reading at the Columbia College tent on Sunday, June 8 from 11-11:30am.

Also at the Printers Row Book Fair will be Zach Plague (April). He'll be at the Featherproof table (table 327) with advance copies of his book Boring Boring Boring Boring Boring Boring Boring.

The Printers Row Book Fair is this weekend, June 7-8 from 10am to 6pm.
